Hannah

Hannah was the first Type One diagnosed February 25, 2010.

The youngest of four boys entails many good things: always loved, always protected, always cared for

When I found out Hannah was in the hospital with Type One, I had no idea of what the disease would bring into our lifestyle. As the doctors presented the complications and adjustments to everyday life, our family was overwhelmed by the enormity of the situation.

To watch Hannah hurt by herself affected every family member. Everyone wanted to take it for her - nobody could stand to see her hurting.

"Shock" would best describe Hannah's diagnosis.

After a few months, our family joked, "The only thing worse than one T1 is two!". . . little did we know! :)

Hannah is our entertainer, princess, and bright spot! Literally, our rose among thorns!
